Capital markets advisory with institutional reach

Omar founded SparkPlus in Singapore in 2016 after spending years in the hedge fund industry across Asia.

He previously led business development at Swiss-Asia Financial Services, where he built and grew the hedge fund platform and incubated a number of start-up funds across the region. Before that, he ran The Fundies, a hedge fund networking group operating across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia.

That network of family offices, hedge funds, and wealth managers became the foundation of what SparkPlus is today. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance and Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.

Brett has over 20 years in financial services, the majority of them as an Advisor at Bell Potter Securities in Perth, where he spent 14 years building client relationships across equities and fixed income portfolio management.

He began his career at State One Stockbroking, where he spent nearly four years developing his foundation in securities and investment advisory.

He joined SparkPlus as Corporate Advisor in 2024 and was appointed Director in April 2025. Brett studied at Curtin University.

Andrea has 10 years’ experience in Finance previously working in Admin and Corporate Broking at JPMorgan as well as Operations Manager at Bridge Street Capital & LHC Capital.

She holds a BA in International Relations and Affairs from Stellenbosch University and an RG 146 (Securities) qualification.

At SparkPlus, she covers investor relations on Australia’s East Coast.

Alex has spent over 6 years in the Financial Services with the majority of this within Corporate Advisory, although also having experience across the FX markets and Insolvency where this broader background reinforces an interest for special situations.
He has a RG146 Tier 1, a Graduate Certificate in Management and is in progress of finishing his MBA (Finance).

Stefan covers SparkPlus’s ASX-listed clients, producing independent research on valuation, operational updates, and near-term catalysts. Before joining SparkPlus, he worked as a corporate development analyst at a single family office, focused on early-stage private investments and commercial real estate M&A.

He also spent several years at a boutique corporate finance firm handling valuation work across capital raises, M&A transactions, and licensing agreements. Stefan holds a degree in Finance from the University of British Columbia (2019) and earned his CFA Charter in November 2023.

Munifah has 12 years of experience in B2B events across ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, with exposure to European and North American markets. She has led conference production, delegate acquisition and multi-channel marketing programmes across fintech, SaaS, regtech and enterprise technology.

Named Asia Event Person of the Year by Infopro Digital, she holds a Master’s in Global Marketing from the University of Roehampton.

At Spark Plus, she spearheads the end-to-end delivery of strategic events and marketing initiatives, driving high-impact investor roadshows, conferences, and flagship experiences that strengthen brand positioning and deepen stakeholder engagement.
