Spark Plus was founded by entrepreneur and events specialist, Omar Taheri. Omar has had numerous years of experience in the hedge fund industry and was founder of an events business – The Fundies. Through The Fundies, Omar had built an excellent rolodex of hedge fund professionals across Asia-Pacific. Having been named one of the “Young Guns” in the Asian hedge fund space, Taheri is an extremely ambitious individual.

Omar was instrumental in growing the Swiss-Asia’s hedge fund platform and was able to incubate numerous start-up hedge funds in the region.

The network that Omar possesses are of a very strong presence, ranging from Family Offices, Hedge Funds and Wealth Management firms in the Asia-Pacific Region.

At Spark Plus Nathan specialises in providing comprehensive corporate advisory, capital raising, and M&A solutions to ASX listed companies. His expertise lies in connecting businesses with a targeted audience of family offices, hedge funds, and institutional investors.

Prior to his role at Spark Plus, Nathan enjoyed a distinguished cricketing career representing Australia in all three formats from 2002 to 2011. Following his playing days, he transitioned into coaching. Most recently Nathan was the spin-bowling coach for the Ireland men’s cricket team. In this capacity, Nathan focused on honing the mental and tactical aspects of spin bowling, contributing significantly to the team’s development. Over the years, he has also shared his cricketing knowledge as a player and coach for various first-class and professional cricket teams.

Andrea has 10 years’ experience in Finance previously working in Admin and Corporate Broking at JPMorgan as well as Operations Manager at Bridge Street Capital & LHC Capital. Andrea has a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Stellenbosch. At Spark Plus, Andrea’s role primarily covers Investors on the East Coast of Australia.

Mr Mark Diamond is a senior pharmaceutical executive with a demonstrated record of achievement and leadership over more than thirty years within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Mr Diamond is currently non-executive Chair of ASX listed Dimerix Limited (ASX:DXB), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with late-stage clinical assets. In May 2023, Mr Diamond retired from Antisense Therapeutics Limited (now Percheron Therapeutics ASX:PER) as Managing Director and CEO, a position he had held since 2001, making him at the time of his retirement the longest serving CEO of a publicly traded Healthcare Company on the ASX. At Antisense, Mr Diamond was successful in capital market engagement and capital raising, pipeline development, product out-licensing and clinical trial conduct amongst other significant accomplishments. In 2022, Mr. Diamond was the recipient of The Biotech Daily CEO of the Year award. Prior to his time at Antisense, Mr Diamond served in senior product and business development roles at Faulding Pharmaceuticals (now Pfizer) within their US, European and international pharmaceutical operations.

He recently joined Spark Plus as a Corporate Advisor, bringing his wealth of expertise in stockbroking, client relationship management, and strategic corporate advisory services. Prior to his current role, Brett spent 14 years as an Advisor at Bell Potter Securities, where he developed a strong track record of delivering tailored financial advice to a diverse portfolio of retail clients. His responsibilities included providing insights on market trends, equities, and investment strategies, as well as managing long-term client relationships.

Before his tenure at Bell Potter, Brett honed his stockbroking skills at State One Stockbroking. His deep knowledge of the stock market, combined with a client-centric approach, has made him a trusted advisor in the industry. Brett’s extensive experience across retail and corporate advisory roles allows him to offer comprehensive financial solutions to his clients, ensuring they achieve their financial goals with confidence.

Brett holds a strong commitment to staying ahead of market trends and is dedicated to providing strategic, actionable advice that aligns with his clients’ needs.

Timothy is a versatile finance professional with a robust background in corporate finance, private equity real estate funding, accounting, and non-profit leadership. With experience in both Singapore and Australia, he excels in complex & fast-paced corporate environments.

During his time as an accountant, Tim honed a strategic understanding of various business models and their intricacies. Bringing that experience forward, he uses it to craft financial strategies for a wide range of corporate clients.

With an upbringing spanning 4 continents and 6 capital cities, and a career across Singapore & Australia, Tim brings a nuanced understanding of business cultures and regulatory frameworks. In various roles across these regions, he demonstrated adaptability and cultural intelligence, fostering successful collaborations to achieve business objectives.

Motivated by a passion for community impact and social justice, Tim dedicates much of his weekend leading volunteer teams to effect change in local communities.

As a corporate advisor, Tim believes that relationships in financial markets are made human-to-human and have to be based on trust.

Timothy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

His global perspective and adaptability make him a valuable asset in navigating diverse business landscapes.

Pathhik Vora is an accomplished operations leader with over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Recently appointed as the Head of Operations at Spark Plus, Pathhik is responsible for overseeing the company’s operational strategy, ensuring efficiency, and driving process improvements across the organization. His expertise in operations management and settlements makes him an invaluable asset in optimizing workflows and delivering best-in-class operational support.

Prior to joining Spark Plus, Pathhik served as the Senior Operations Manager at Blu Horseshoe for two years, where he led various initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline business processes. Before this, he worked at Openmarkets as a Cash Settlements Officer for 10 months, where he managed settlement operations with a focus on precision and timeliness.

Pathhik also spent three years as an International Settlements Officer at Ord Minnett, managing international transactions and cross-border settlements, and held a nine-year tenure as a Cash Administration Officer at BNY Mellon, where he handled cash management and reconciliation for institutional clients.

With a career spanning multiple roles and institutions, Pathhik brings a wealth of knowledge and operational expertise to Spark Plus, ensuring the company remains agile and effective in delivering solutions to its clients.

Stefan is an equity analyst for Spark Plus, providing research coverage for our ASX-listed clients.

Stefan previously held roles as a corporate development analyst for a Single Family Office where he was primarily involved in early-stage investments into private companies as well as being across the M&A process for multiple commercial real estate transactions. Stefan also spent the last couple of years in a boutique corporate finance advisory firm where he focused on Valuation engagements across capital fundraising, M&A transactions, licensing agreements and so forth.

Stefan attained his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in May 2019, with a major in Finance and a minor in Sociology. Stefan obtained his CFA Charter in Nov 2023.
